In a Haze
Alone in a daze
I walk without feeling.
Numbness in my limbs
would I feel the prick
of a pin?
Alone in a haze
I walk without caring.
Numbness in my limbs
would I feel the touch
of another?
I cannot feel the ground
beneath where I walk.
Have I slipped the bounds
of this earthly prison?
Dazed and confused
I know not up nor down.
In a haze I walk
not knowing, not caring.
