Well, this was my second year to this event and I was quite pleased with the convention. It seemed much better than last year's event with many more individuals in attendance and in costume. I volunteered some time on Friday so that I could get a weekend pass to the event and Friday afternoon I had the pleasure to be an assistant to the actor and body builder, Mr. Lou Ferigno. I'll tell ya what, that guy is huge! I just hope that I look half as good as he does when I get to be his age. I chatted with him for a while and he is a really nice guy.

I also ran into several friends from the renaissance festival, which was a pleasant surprise. They were in a troupe called Shadow Steel and were performing weapons demonstrations with a little bit of humor mixed in throughout the weekend. I took quite a few images of the performance, not so much for me but for their use in their promotions. They are a new troupe based out of Toledo, Ohio. Check them out if you are in need of some good entertainers.

Finally, I got a wild idea where I quickly made some 8x10 blowups of my friend's kids, Micah and Tori. They, and their mother Lisa, are big fans of the Battlestar Galactica actress, Laurette Spang. One picture was of Micah being hugged by Laurette and the other was of Tori being hugged by Catwoman & Batman. They had Laurette autograph their images for them and, since I gave them each an extra copy to give the actress, they each autographed a copy of their image for Laurette. Laurette was very misty eyed as she had taken a good liking to the girls. I hope the girls enjoyed the images. (On a side note, it was a good feeling when Laurette and her personal assistant complimented me on the photographs by saying I had a good idea. Yeah me!)
